Cleaning your engine with Super Dyno a concentrated, heavy duty multi-purpose engine cleaner will be a breeze. Use this engine cleaner in conjunction with our automotive parts cleaning brush to loosen the grime build up around small areas. The next time you are thinking about detailing your car, remember the most important step is cleaning your engine.
Also included in this kit, Engine Dressing which is a clear dressing, formulated for the engine compartment. This motor glaze is designed to cover the entire engine and give it the "new engine" look. Lane’s Engine Cleaner
Step 1 – Start with Lane’s Super Dyno Engine Cleaner/Degreaser. Apply a generous amount of Super Dyno to coat your entire engine. You will instantly see the grease and grime begin to dissolve.
Cleaning Engine
Step 2 – Let the Super Dyno work its magic for 15-20 seconds which is all the time needed to break up grease, dirt and grime. If needed, you can agitate the dirtier areas with a parts cleaning brush or body brush.
Spraying Engine Compartment
Step 3 – Rinse the engine thoroughly to remove the engine cleaner and the, now loosened, dirt and grime. If you do not have a power washer, we recommend using Lane’s Fire Hose Nozzle.
Cleaning Your Engine
Step 4 – Make sure the engine is dry so that new contaminants do now adhere to the engine you just finished cleaning. Pictured is the Air Force Master Blaster used in the Fast Lane Mobile Wash and Detail shop. If you do not have a blow dryer, you can either let your engine air try or wipe with a Microfiber Towel.
Shining Your Engine with Dressing
Step 5 – Now that the engine has been cleaned and completely dried, you can apply your engine dressing. Application should be done in smooth horizontal strokes to ensure that you cover the entire engine. The engine dressing will help to protect against future buildup and will give your engine a long-lasting clean appearance between washes.
Using Microfiber Towel to Wipe Engine Dressing
Step 6 – Use a microfiber towel to evenly spread the engine dressing. This will help to coat the areas not reached with the trigger sprayer. Using a microfiber towel to spread the engine dressing will also prevent excess runoff giving your engine a fresh new look.
